Analysis of factors affecting the dryness of pop ink in wine label printing
pop ink belongs to ordinary dry ink, and the drying speed is relatively slow, so the drying problem when printing vacuum aluminized paper with pop ink has been paid enough attention. If the drying problem is not well controlled, the printing ink on the surface of the printed matter will not dry for a long time, or it will not dry completely at all. There are many factors affecting the balance of ink and water and the over emulsification of pop ink, among which the most important are the amount of fountain solution, the pH value of fountain solution and the conductivity of fountain solution
1. Control of the amount of fountain solution
about the control of the amount of fountain solution, we first need to understand the characteristics of printing materials. Different types of printing materials have great differences in water absorption. Absorbent printing materials have a certain absorptive capacity for water. Therefore, if the amount of fountain solution is slightly excessive in the printing process, the impact on the printing quality of printed matter is not so obvious; However, for non absorbent printing materials, due to their inherent deficiencies in water absorption, it is naturally required to control the amount of fountain solution more strictly. In the fourth quarter, the supply and demand of bulk commodities further weakened. Therefore, when printing vacuum aluminized paper that belongs to non absorbent printing materials, special attention should be paid to the control of the amount of fountain solution. Try to reduce the amount of fountain solution as much as possible while ensuring that the printed matter is not dirty
2. Adjustment of the pH value of fountain solution
in order to ensure that the drying speed of pop ink printed on vacuum aluminized paper is accelerated, during the printing process, we (1) often need to add a certain amount of desiccant (also known as dry oil) to pop ink for expanded benzene board insulation material. Desiccants are generally salts containing lead, cobalt, manganese and other metal elements. When the pH value of the fountain solution is too low, the fountain solution will react with the desiccant, making the desiccant ineffective. It can be seen that under the condition of strong acidity of fountain solution, the drying time of pop ink on the surface of vacuum aluminized paper will be relatively prolonged. In fact, under the condition of strong acidity of fountain solution, not only the problem of slow drying of ink layer, but also strong ink emulsification (even over emulsification) will occur
3. Influence of the conductivity of fountain solution
the low pH of fountain solution will cause the emulsification of pop ink. Will the different conductivity of fountain solution affect the emulsification of pop ink? Through the analysis of the conductivity of the fountain solution, we found that the reason why the pop ink printed on vacuum aluminized paper can not dry well is also the high conductivity. The reason is that the high conductivity of the fountain solution indirectly caused the excessive emulsification of the pop ink, which then affected the drying. This requires us to try our best to break new ground and innovate in the reform and opening up. We also need to test the pH value of fountain solution and conductivity in advance in our daily production.
